City Council's Conference Room
1. Call to Order. Mayor Taylor and Chairman Pincus.
2. Roll Call of Council Members.
3. Roll Call of School Board Members.
4. Invocation. Mayor Taylor.
5. Statement of purpose. Mayor Taylor and Chairman Pincus.
The purpose of the special meeting is to convene in Executive Session with the
School Board to discuss and consider a matter of probable litigation,
specifically a matter involving funding requirements, pursuant to fi2.1-
344(A) (7), Code of Virginia (1950), as amended. The Council and the School
Board may act upon resolutions prepared by the City Attorney following the
Executive Session.
6. Motion to convene in Executive Session to discuss and consider a matter of
probable litigation, specifically a matter involving funding requirements,
pursuant to fi2.1-344(A)(7), Code of Virginia (1950), as amended.
7. Certification of Executive Session.
8. Adjournment.

Dear Mrs. Bowles and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Section 10, Meetings of Council, of the Charter of the City of Roanoke,
I am calling a Special Meeting of the Roanoke City Council to be held at 2: 00 p. m. ,
on Thursday, September 12, 1991. The School Board will join us for this meeting
which will be held in the City Council's Conference Room.
The purpose of the meeting will be to convene in Executive Session with the School
Board to discuss and consider a matter of probable litigation, specifically a matter
involving funding requirements, pursuant to fi2 .1-344(A)(7), Code of Virginia
(1950), as amended. The City Council and the School Board may publicly act upon
resolutions to be prepared by the City Attorney after the conclusion of the Executive
Session.
