Call to Order— Roll Call. All present. 2. Welcome and Statement of Purpose. Mayor Lea. 3. Public Hearing: a. Receive citizen comments with regard to options for enforcing curfew and to hear additional ways to protect our youth in the community. Darnell Wood, Dominic Harden, Jerry McGeorge, Naomi Clements, Janis Wade and Adrian Davis appeared before the Council and offered comments with regard to options for enforcing curfew and to hear additional ways to protect our youth in the community. 4. Adjourned — 6:51 p.m. 1 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to Section 15.2, Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Roanoke City Council will hold a two public hearings to receive the views of citizens with regard to options for enforcing a curfew and to hear additional ways to protect the youth in our communities at two Special Meetings, one on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., at William Fleming High School Cafeteria, 3649 Ferncliff Avenue,N.W.,Roanoke, Virginia and the second one for Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., at Patrick Henry High School Cafeteria, 2102 Grandin Road, S.W., Roanoke, Virginia. Citizens interested in presenting their views at the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at William Fleming High School, should contact the City Clerk by telephone at(540) 853-2541 or by email at cicrktu roanol<cva.�ov by 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday,March 14, 2023 and register to speak at that Meeting. If you are a person with a disability who needs accommodations for this public hearing, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (540) 853-2541, by March 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The City of Roanoke provides interpretation at no cost for all public meetings, upon request.
