This might still be on the table, but it might affect how many routes are served by the stop.o No insider information on that is available; William himself is not directly involved, but it's in the purview of "higher ups."o Will the public have any feedback about the decisions? Alison says that RV ARC could help with public comment if this is desired. o Generally buses are moving farther out in shopping centers due to traffic conflicts and desires of business owners.•Melrose plaza shelter and back of Berglund shelter -shelters no longer used because stop has changed location; could the shelter itself be moved?o The one in Melrose plaza was served during peak service actuallyoYou can't just repurpose a shelter without also building out a concrete pad, so that's a barrier to a quick pivot.•8th/9th and Moonnan - someone from NNEO contacted BRRAG about the need for benches/shelters because these serve area senior citizens.o Laura told the person that sidewalks need to come first.o William affirmed that sidewalks would be necessary, and constitute a higher priority than shelters. •Bus stop sign redesign has been taking a long time -we've been hearing about this for years now!o William says there is a draft sign design ready to gooThe signs need to be made and installed. A big job: there are 800+ stops in the system. o Replacing the ones that are attached to other poles (not on own pole) requires negotiating -maybe we need to add our own pole because it's actually going to be 3 signs now.•A sign that indicates "bus stop" with an image of a bus to be clear to non English readers•Specific bus stop number and QR code and "routes served" for each bus stop. They will also have braille on them.o Laura asks about feedback on the design -we could be a focus group of riders if desired? William will ask if this is needed/possible. •Follow up question about when we will see the plaque in Third Street Station to honor Mr. Saunders and others who have served as long time bus driversoWilliam says the design has been finalized (will have pie of individual plus text) but next steps not yet takenoThere is already some recognition of Saunders and others on the screens in the buses •Question about the expectation of a board member attending our meeting o It is the board who decides who's coming to the next meetingoWe missed a board member today because the person whose turn it was, resigned.o William usually sends the board member the info (agenda etc.)•How to advertise our meetings -William does put it on the Valley Metro websiteoThe meeting is technically open to the public, so how to make sure the public knows about it?
